Calisthenics

The word Calisthenics comes from the ancient Greek words kallos (beauty) and sthenos (strength). It is the art of using one’s body weight as resistance in order to develop their physique. Callisthenics is essentially bodyweight exercises consisting of a variety of gross motor movements – running, standing, grasping, pushing, etc. – often performed rhythmically and with minimal equipment.

The Callisthenics Signature Program uses movements such as pulling, pushing, bending, jumping, swinging etc., against the best resistance – your own body weight to increase body strength, fitness and flexibility. When performed actively and correctly, this program provides the benefits of muscular conditioning, while also improving your balance, agility and coordination. In this program you move from one set to the next with little or no rest between them, hence building more stamina and burning additional calories. Another great benefit of Calisthenics is that it helps increase your cardiovascular fitness as well.
